Dimmesdale was about to share a speech, that caused a huge parade. Pearl was amazed by the parade. Hester noticed that Dimmesdale seemed
confident but his face showed him being nervous about something so she
was worried. Suddenly, Pearl was upset the Dimmesdale paid no attention
to her or Hester.

There's a huge parade 
Mistress Hibbins told Hester that she knew about herand Dimmesdale. She said everyone would eventually
find out the truth and that there is something he is
hiding on his chest. Pearl was only curious to find out
what it was Dimmesdale was hiding.

The meeting house was full so Hester stayed outside to listen to thespeech while Pearl went to cheer up people in the market place. Pearl
met a man who gave her his gold chain and told her to deliver a
message to Hester.

Dimmesdale's speech was great everyone enjoyed what he had to say.Some people started to surround Hester to humiliate her again like they
once did many years ago. She was already feeling ashamed for standing
where she stood many years ago that brought her nothing but pain.
Dimmesdale only stared at her while this was happening.
