John Williams is a pianist and  composer born in 1932 in New York City.

A composer is someone who writes music!

He grew up in New York City and learned to play the piano at the famous Julliard School of Music! He worked as a pianist in clubs and concerts to make money.

He moved to Los Angeles and began to write music for television and movies, including the famous NBC "Meet the Press" theme! 

John Williams composed music for hundreds of movies and television shows. Here are some of his most famous ones!

"Harry Potter": the magical series about a wizard named Harry Potter and his adventures at Hogwarts!

"Jurassic Park": a fantasy movie series about living in a world amongst dinosaurs!

"Indiana Jones": An archeologist's adventure to find the Ark of the Covenant!

And "Star Wars": the famous action-packed thrill ride full of space battles, frantic lightsaber duels and the mission to stop Darth Vader!

In 1980, he became the conductor of the world-famous Boston Pops orchestra. 

Mr. Williams led this orchestra for 14 amazing years, and continues to conduct them today!
