McKayla couldn't wait to get to school today!  

Her teacher was going to show her the steps in 

making a good science fair project.

"McKayla," said her teacher.   "I'm so glad that 

you are excited about creating your first 

science fair project."  

Then Mr. Smith said, "Here are the steps."

1.   Choose a problem and state it as a 

question - watching TV commercials can help 

you come up with a good question.

2.   Research your problem - read and make 

observations.

3.   Develop a hypothesis - predict what will 

happen.

4.   Design an experiment to test your 

hypothesis.

5.   Test your hypothesis and record your data.

6.   Organize your data - include a chart or 

graph of your data.

7.   Draw conclusions - summarize your 

findings.

On the way to school, McKayla told her 

friend all about her science fair project.

"I can't wait to show Mr. Smith!" said 

McKayla.
