Noah was a very old man. One day God spoke to Noah 

to command him to do a task. "Noah, I wish for you to 

build an ark. When the rain starts, go onto your ark 

and allow two of every type of animal onto your ark 

with you. A boy and a girl of each."

Noah was reluctant at first but obeyed God's 

command. He worked long and hard on his ark. His 

sons all helped him. After a lot of hard work, the ark 

was finally finished.

Soon after, the animals came to Noah. Two giraffes, 

two zebras, two lions; and two of every other type of 

animal in the world. They all behaved and waited with 

Noah for the rain. 

They all waited until it rained. Noah then quickly 

gathered all the animals   and his family onto the ark. 

Then it rained non-stop for forty days. Finally on the 

forty-first day the rain stopped, but by then there 

wasn't any more land.
