In the middle of the forest, there lived a boy named Alex. 
Alex led a simple life. He used to go every day into the forest to cut wood. As he had no family, he earned his own money by selling the wood in a town nearby. 

One day when he was selling wood, an old man approached him. 

"Dear boy, I am cold. My cottage fell down during the storm last week. I do not have any money. Please give me some wood" he said. Being a humble boy, Alex agreed. The old man gratefully said, "Thank you my boy!. Here, take this jar. It is enchanted. If you rub it , a wish-granting angel will appear!".

Alex became curious about this. Once he returned home, he immediately rubbed the jar. A serene figure appeared. It was the angel. "I am ready to serve you, Master", the angel said. "Master, what Master? I am no master. I am a simple, ordinary boy!" Alex said. "You have freed me, right? So you are my master!"

From that day forward, Alex used the angel for little needs of his own. The angel helped him get food, cut wood and do many other activities. Even though the Angel did things for him, Alex never was greedy. Not for a few months, at least.

One day, Alex blurted out " Angel, I want a better house and get a job in the city"  "Your wish is granted Alex!" said the angel. Alex was living a happy life in the city, he got new clothes & a small car. Life was good for Alex, until a year passed and Alex got bored of his life. "Angel I am bored of my life & want to become a royal, I want to get rich without work." said Alex  The angel asked him if he was sure "Yes I am 100% sure replied Alex. The day Alex was leaving, the angel said " When you become rich, send me a letter from your castle" "OK" Alex replied
