Prologue
Have you ever saved Christmas before? Not like just your house,
like the whole world. Well, I have. I've shared that experience
with many people and today I'll share it with you. It all started
when Noah wanted to make sure his kid Bailey would get exactly
what he wanted. So Noah's wife, Katarina, told him to run way up
north where it was amazingly frigid and as cold as an ice cube.
Me and my friend also have super power you could call them but
we don't really use them that much.

Chapter One
"Please Gatlin please," Noah begged. "It's Christmas weekend and my folks are coming down on
Saturday," I protested. "Okay, I guess I won't have anyone at my side if I fall or get too cold
and have hypothermia," Noah said.
I could tell he was just trying to get me to come with him. He probably still believes about the
Yeti. "Okay, fine, I'll go."
There was a moment of silence and then Noah said, "You still there?"
"Yeah, I'm still here" I replied.
"So are you coming?" Noah asked.
"Um...I guess," I answered.
"Yes!" Noah yelled in the phone.
I backed it away some so it wouldn't be too loud. "Wait, what are we going for," I asked.
"Um, oh, um. Well I wanted to get my picture with Santa and I have to make sure Bailey gets
what he wants for Christmas," Noah replied.
"By the way, you're twenty seven," I said.
"Let me guess. Katerina, your wife made you go? I guessed."
"Ding, ding, ding..we have a winner," said Noah sarcastically. "I really only want to get my
picture taken with Santa but the lady is making me go."
"OK, we will leave on Friday," I protested in the phone.
"Okay," I heard him say. I think I heard him say that at least. Then I heard the dial tone sound
that gets annoying. How do I get myself into these problems, I thought.

Chapter Two
Meanwhile at my three story house, my kid Nick was in his room looking on the internet for
what I should get him for Christmas. Nick, whose full name is Nicholas, was adopted from an
agency who wanted to get rid of him when he was as little as little can get when he did an
eighty-four by seventy-two multiplication problem twenty feet high. So, now he is seven
years old and lives with me, only me. Sometimes he helps me figure out cases with
intelligence and his ability to fly (which he never uses). He is pretty helpful. If you met him,
you would think he got his doctor degree in college. You could call him Albert Einstein junior,
if you wanted. At school, he has never missed a question, except for once. Sometimes I
think his head will explode from all the information he has sucked in. As I walked past his
room and stopped, I was wondering if he wanted to come to the North Pole, so I asked him.
"Hey, Nick, do ya want to come to the North Pole?" I asked.
"You're going to the North Pole?" Nick questioned.
"Well, I have to help Noah get what Bailey wants for Christmas," I added. All I know about
Bailey is that he is eight, one year older than Nick.
"Okay," Nick answered sounding excited.
"We are leaving on Friday, but don't tell Bailey what he is getting for Christmas," I added as I
walked down the hall.

Chapter Three
As I opened the door, it swung hard like a thousand pound weight dropped from The Empire
State Building. It gave me goosebumps just standing there. Then I had a pain, a very bad
pain. I looked at where at my hand was and it was smashed against the door hard. I feel it
getting harder and harder as the wind pushed it. I felt like my fingers were going to turn
purple from the blood clot. I felt like I had to scream but I'm a grown-up, who does that? I
tried to push the door open and it did just a little bit, just a space that my fingers could fit
through. I pulled hard and harder. I felt like my fingers would burst. I pulled my fingers and
they came out. I plopped on the ground from the force. I jumped up and got my coat. Noah
jumped down all seventeen stairs with help of his flying power. He got his coat off his chair,
his chair where he sits every night for dinner. I heard a loud clink go which was from pulling
up the garage door where my Lamborghini and Ferrari were parked. I asked Noah which one
he wanted to take. Then we burst out laughing, we could just fly. How do you drive over
seas? So we bundled up tight and walked out into the freezing cold. Not knowing what I got
myself into.

Chapter Four
As we trudged through the endless roads of snow, barely able to see and fly, I wondered, is Santa
real? Because if he is, then reindeer are real. I've always wanted to race a reindeer. Up ahead, I
saw Noah staring through the window at his front door, not seeing us but watching every white
snowflake thinking how beautiful. For me, it wasn't. I could feel small pieces of snow falling into my
glove, making goosebumps. I looked back to see where Nick was but he wasn't there. I heard a dim
voice call, "Dad, come on." I looked ahead of me and there was Nick standing on the steps of Noah's
porch. He looked impatient and angry with me. So, I jumped with help of my flying power. I got
about ten feet, ten more to go. Soon, I was there inside Noah's warm, toasty house watching him
drink every sip of his steaming hot cocoa. "So, can we leave now?" I asked.
There was a moment of silence. "Sure, " Noah said.
Noah's backyard is an airport, kinda. He has a really long runway. His wife Katerina is in the radar
tower navigating us while me and Noah drive the plane and Nick sits in the back. After getting the
airplane, filling it with gas, we drove it on the runway. Then Noah started the engines and got to a
ferocious speed and started to hover off the ground. When we got ahead, I saw a fence. "Noah, we
are going to hit that fence," I said sounding scared.
Noah pulled up on the wheel as hard as he possibly could. Hard enough that he could break it. Now
there was only a couple of yards to the fence. The plane rose up, just missing the fence.

"That was a close one," Noah protested.
"Yeah," I explained.
"Now sit back and relax, we will be there in no time," Noah said. Soon, we were miles away
from the North Pole. I could see the Northern Lights in the sky ahead lighting like a hundred
bulb LED flashlight and Santa's workshop down below. All of the sudden, we soon dropped
quickly. Bam! The airbags went off and we crashed in the ground and the windshields were
covered with snow.

Chapter Five
"Nice landing," I sarcastically said.
"Hey, it is hard to fly when clumps of snow hit your ship and make it fall," Noah protested.
"Okay,okay...gosh," I whispered to myself.
Noah hit a switch and the door opened. We got out and the first thing I thought was why am I in the cold when I
could be in my warm toasty house. "Doesn't the Yeti live down here?" Nick wondered.
"There is no such thing as a Yeti," i declared.
"What's that?" Nick pointed out. He was looking right at a gigantic, white, furry creature that was over seventy-
five feet tall. Even though he was three hundred feet away, I could still see his big, black eyes the size of an
oversized basketball and they were pointed right at us.
"Nick," I slowly said trying to sound calm. "Get back in the ship."
"Okay," he excitedly said like it was a good thing. I could hear his boots slip on the metal and hop on the chair
with a little boing. I took some steps back and a couple more and my back touched the aircraft.
"Gatlin, I am depending on you," Noah requested. Something you should know about Noah is that he gets
scared easily and doesn't like to fight things. Anyway, back to the story. The Yeti was now running toward us, i
think. I needed to think of a plan. Sometimes I wish I was Jimmy Neutron with all his good ideas and plans. "I
got it!" So I started to whisper some things to Noah and we moved out. I went behind the ship and Noah ran
toward the Yeti. I was pretty surprised that Noah even did my plan. When I was behind the ship and the Yeti
couldn't see me, I jumped and started to fly backwards. After a while, flying away from the Yeti, I turned and now
I was headed toward the Yeti again. In the distance, I could hear Noah's screams. I boosted up a little and soon
I started to fly circles around the Yeti while Noah ran in circles too. I started to feel dizzy but I shook my head
and I was better. The Yeti fell on my knee and then the other. I knew that if this was a cartoon, there would be
stars around his head. All of a sudden, his head went right down in the snow. "Let's go!" Noah yelled from
below as we ran back to the ship to see if Nick was okay. i wondered, is the bigfoot and the lochness monster
real if the Yeti is?

As I walked through the heavy dropping snow, and the ground sunk with every step I took, I wondered what Nick
wanted for Christmas. Anyway, back to the story, I could see lights ahead and bam! We hit a wall but they were
really stairs up to the front door of Santa's workshop. Soon, we were at the front door.

Chapter Six
As Noah looked at me, waiting for something to happen, I put my hand on the frigid knob and turned
it. There was a little creak. Every inch it opened, it got louder and louder hearing people say
"gimme that tool" or "that's my candy". When it was fully open, elves were working on toys or
baking cookies. All of a sudden, an alarm went off and there was a fire at the baking place. A
couple of elves came out wearing red and white suits. They had a gigantic hose the size of an
anaconda. "One, two, three" an elf commanded. Water sprayed like a waterfall after a hurricane.
All that was left was smoke.
"Hey, who are you?" someone from below asked. I looked down and saw a little girl the size of a
preschooler and she was looking up at me. "Me? I'm just helping my friend," I answered.
"Oh," she said. She wore a green dress with high green leg socks and her shoe was curled. She had
a necklace length hair and her nametag said Brighton. "What is your friend here for?" she wondered.
"He wants to get his picture taken with Santa and he wants to make sure his son gets what he
wants," I giggled.
"Santa is just over there if your friend wants to get his picture taken," she pointed out. She was
looking at a man in all red clothes sitting at a milk and cookies station. As I started to walk, I turned
around and made a signal for Nick and Noah to come along. We were about half way there when I
noticed all the elves were staring at us. We were in complete silence until someone dropped some
glass. I tried not to pay any attention to them. We were right behind Santa and I tapped him on the
shoulder. As he turned around slowly, i could see his pure white beard and rosy red cheeks. When
he was fully turned around, he had green eyes and dark red lips. "Yes," he said in a low voice.
"I was just wondering if my friend Noah could get his picture taken with you?" I said in a shaky
voice.
"Um, sure," he said in a questionable voice. Noah walked to Santa and Santa was a little surprised
that it was him instead of Nick. "Oh, you. I guess you are never too old to believe", he said
surprised. Click, the camera went.

Noah's smile is unusual. You could call it a frown but I never said anything about it. "Thanks
Santa," Noah blabbed. He was shaking his hand really hard with a real grin on his face now.
"Hey, do you have one of those magic crystals like on Santa Buddies?" Noah asked.
"Well in fact, I do," he said as he was shuffling his hand around his neck. "It's not here. It
has been stolen" he yelled in a terrified way. "By the way, do you have a place to hit the sack
tonight?" Santa asked.
"Nope, only if you call the plane that Noah crashed," I said.
"Hey!" Noah exclaimed.
"Okay, okay, enough. Why don't you stay in the guest room," Santa requested.
"Okay, thanks," I said.
"Hey, where's Nick?" I wondered. I turned my head to the left and he was munching on
cookies and milk and he yelled "I love this place!"

Chapter Seven
"So, tell me exactly when you last had it?" I asked.
"I guess when I went to bed last night," Santa guessed. We walked into Santa's room and
went over by his bed. I took a step closer and crunch. I looked down and there were five
heart shaped wrappers on the ground. I picked one up and smelled it. I smelled the tin foil
and it smelled just like chocolate, milk chocolate. "Santa, do you know anyone that likes milk
chocolate with heart shaped wrappers around it?" I asked. "In fact, I do. Cupid!" he blurted
out.
Interesting, I thought. We walked in the kitchen and I could smell the fresh baked cookies
and I think I could smell some old milk too. "Would you like a cookie boys?" I heard someone
ask. I turned my head to the left and I saw a pretty old lady holding a cookie sheet. "No,
thanks," I replied and followed Santa into the living room where the fire was frozen probably
from the cold. There was a Easter egg under a big chair. The place was mostly normal. We
put our coats on and headed outside. The first thing weird about that was a little tree about
three feet tall and what was that? A string, I grabbed it and turned around to show Santa.
"Is this yours?" I wondered.
"Yes, yes it is," Santa replied softly. "Where did you find it?" he asked.
"Over on that tree," I pointed out.
"Mother Nature," he groaned.
