Once upon a time in an ocean far, far, away, there was a
fish kingdom where red seahorses, blue seahorses and colorful
sea creatures lived in peace.
The red seahorses were the kings, queens, nobility, and
clergy of the kingdom. The blue seahorses were the rising
middle class or bourgeoisie. The colorful sea creatures were
the lower class or peasants of the kingdom.
The peace did not last long because the red seahorses did
not treat the other creatures fairly. Unhappiness spread across
the reef.
This is where the revolution first started and the ideas of
change started to show.

The colorful sea creatures lived a very hard life. Their
households were cramped and poorly built. They did not
have enough to eat and often became sick. They paid the
red seahorse government a lot of money in taxes.
The blue seahorses lived much better lives than the
colorful sea creatures. The blue seahorses were an
educated working class that had earned their fortunes. In
fact, some of them had more money than the red
seahorses. Some blue seahorses lived in nicer homes than
the red seahorses. The blue seahorses were able to eat
regularly in a time when many were starving. They also
paid a lot of money to the red seahorse government in
taxes.

The red seahorses lived extremely lavish lifestyles.
They lived in large mansions, had more food than
they could eat and spent money on silly things. They
had the most money and land, but they didn't have to
pay the large taxes that the blue seahorses and sea
creatures paid.

The red seahorse royal family lived in an extremely
large, coral palace. Even though they were very rich,
the red seahorse royal family spent more money than
they made. Once they ran out of money, the red
seahorses started taxing the blue seahorses and
colorful sea creatures to get even more money.

The blue seahorses and colorful sea creatures did
not like the red seahorses taking so much of their
money with such high taxes and became very upset.
They started to demand change. This demand angered
the red seahorses and the seahorse King. To help solve
this issue, the King called the Coral General to meet.
The Coral General was a gathering where the blue
seahorses and red seahorses talked about their
problems and come to a compromise. However, that's
not what happened.
This started the first visible stage of the revolution.
This is where the blue seahorses took direct action.

The Coral General meeting did not go as planned.
The red seahorses and red seahorse royal family
outvoted and ignored the blue seahorses. This upset
the blue seahorses. They formed the National Coral
Assembly. The National Coral Assembly decided that
they could run the Fish Kingdom better than the red
seahorses. They wanted to get rid of the high and
unequally applied taxes.

The red seahorse King did not like this and tried to
stop the blue seahorses. However, no matter how hard
he tried, the King could not stop them. The colorful
sea creatures liked the National Coral Assembly's
ideas and joined the blue seahorses. Now with so
much support, the National Coral Assembly could start
to rule the kingdom and protect the blue seahorses and
colorful sea creature's money.
