Monkey On The Job

A monkey got a job to deliver purple bananas with blue spots. First, a hippopotamus wanted yellow bananas but he only had purple bananas with blue spots. That made Hippopotamus angry. He wanted yellow bananas. "I will teach you how to make yellow bananas," said Hippopotamus. So he did. "First, you find a light brown tree. Then you go to the store. Then buy seeds. Then plant them. Water them and put sunshine on it everyday," explained Hippopotamus.

"But it's raining," said Monkey. "You need rain, remember. Next time give me yellow bananas." Monkey waited and waited and waited. They did not grow. He ate a frog and a purple banana with blue spots when he was waiting. Hippopotamus came back and he was angry. "WHERE ARE MY BANANAS?" he shouted! "I was watering them all year and they have not grown yet."
