Food

The Red panda eats leaves and bamboo, but occasionally snack on fruit, insects, bird eggs and small lizards, too.

Habitat

The Red panda lives in the Eastern Himalayas in places like China, Nepal, and Bhutan.

Physical Characteristics 

The red panda is slightly larger than a domestic cat with a bear-like body with thick fur. Their fur is orange, and their legs and belly is black. They have white markings on the side of the face and above their eyes. They have stripes at the end of their tail, and white on the inside of their ears.

Family

The Red Panda really confused the scientists this time, at first the scientists put the red panda in the racoon family, because of similar skull, teeth, and ringed tails . But DNA analyses suggested that to put the red panda in the Bear family. But, later genetic research put red pandas in their own family ( Ailuridae Family ).
