About Ladybugs
Like many insects, ladybugs go through a process called metamorphosis. This means they go through a huge transformation in their life cycle.
Their life cycle has four stages. Ladybugs look very different in each stage.

Egg Stage
In this stage, a mother ladybug will lay a group of eggs under a leaf or on a stem. She will usually lay her eggs near a group of aphids. Aphids are another type of insect and are the ladybug's main source of food.
