I dedicate this book to my 5th grade teachers and my family (Especially my Papa).

is for Astronomy
Astronomy is the study of space. Astronomy is the kind of science that astronauts do. NASA is one of the companies that do astronomy.

is for Biology
Biology is the study of life. Biology is the genetic makeup of different organisms. A scientist that does biology is called a biologist.

is for Chemistry

Chemistry is the science of chemicals and how they react with each other. Chemistry is how medicine is made. A scientist that does chemistry is called a chemist.

is for Demology

Demology is the study of human behavior. Demology is also how people act in different situations. A scientist that does demology is called a demologist.

is for Ecology

Ecology is the study of the environment. Ecology is also how different organisms affect the environment. A scientist that does ecology is called an ecologist.

is for Finance

Finance is the science of money management so you don´t over pay for goods and services. Paying taxes is also part of finances. There are advisors that do finances, and they are called financial advisors.

is for Gemology

Gemology is the study of minerals and crystals. Gemology helps you find out what a certain kind of mineral is. A scientist that study's gemology is called a gemologist.

is for Harmonics

Harmonics is the study of musical acoustics and rhythm. You create a songs using harmonics. Harmonics helps with different rhythms.

is for Information

Information is key to having success in science. If you don´t have information you can´t have science. Science and information can´t exist without one and other.

is for Jupiter

Jupiter is the largest planet in the solar system. Jupiter is one of the outer planets in the solar system. Jupiter is one of the gas giants in the solar system.

is for Kinetics

Kinetics is the study of forces producing or changing motion. There is a type of energy called kinetic energy. Kinetic energy is the energy counterpart of potential energy (The energy possessed by a body by virtue of it´s position relative to others, stresses within itself, electric charge, and other factors).

is for Light

When a ray of light passes from air into water, it bends at the surface, an effect called refraction. Refraction results from a change in speed as light travels from one material to another. Light can also be reflected at the junction of two materials with different refractive indices.

is for Mammals

Mammal is an animal that feeds its young on the mother's milk. There are more than 4,500 species (kinds) of mammals, and they make up one of the classes of vertebrates (animals with backbones). Cats and dogs are mammals.

is for NASA

National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is a United States government agency that manages the nation’s nonmilitary space program and conducts research in aircraft flight. In the 1960’s, NASA added hundreds of thousands of workers as part of the Apollo program. The program carried astronauts to the first landing on the moon in 1969.

is for Orbit

Orbit, in astronomy, is the path of an object whose motion is influenced by the gravitational attraction of another object. Often, orbit refers to the nearly circular path maintained by an object under the gravitational pull of a much larger object. A secondary may gain enough speed to escape the pull of its primary, called escape velocity. Its orbit then becomes an open curve called a parabola.

is for Parabola

Parabola, is one of the curves most used in science. If a ballplayer hits a high fly, the path of the ball is nearly a parabola. Any point on a parabola is the same distance from a line AB as it is from point C.
