
Myth 1: rats like cheese.
I know I know it's totally weird! It was just like that when I learned about it. This myth was likely started thousands of years ago when all the food that the rats would rather eat was out of where they could get it but the cheese was in there grasp so of course they went for the cheese. Also if you are wondering they like sugary foods.
Myth 2: if you touch a baby bird its mommy will reject it. This myth was started because people think that birds have a great sense of smell so they would reject it because it would smell like a person. In reality birds have a bad sense of smell so they would not know the difference plus a mommy bird would not reject its baby quickly.
Myth 3: rats cannot show affection.
I know that you think that a rat can show affection as well as a lion but rats can show affection. This myth was likely started because people were very annoyed with rats so people started thinking that rats can not show any affection.
Myth 4: Einstein failed his math tests.
You have probably heard that Einstein failed his math tests but in reality he failed his language tests so it was probably just a mix up.
Myth 5: sugar is just a bad thing that's is not needed in our diet.
Okay this is only partly true. You need some sugar in your diet to remain healthy but too much is a bad thing. So you can eat sugar but just don't eat too much of it.
Myth 6: people that are obese are guaranteed to have a poor diet and be lazy.
Like the last one this is only partly true. Some people that are obese are lazy and have a poor diet but this is not the case in all people. The reason that the other group of people have obesity is because of there DNA.
Myth 7: black cats are bad luck
You might have heard the myth and believe it but black cats have as much bad luck as your average house cat. I am not sure why this myth was started.
Myth 8: Bulls don't like the color red.
Bulls are color blind to all colors it's just they feel upset when the cape is swung in a bull fight because they will take it is a challenge.
Myth 9: Lightning never strikes the same place twice.
You might have heard this myth and believe it but a single place in a single thunderstorm if the thunderstorm is long enough.
Myth 10: we only use 10 percent of our brains.
You might have heard this myth and believe it but in reality we use 100 percent of our brains. Even is simple things like chewing. This myth was started because of a TV show called Lucy.
Myth 11: bats are blind.
You probably heard this myth and believe it but bats can see better than humans do. This myth was probably started because people didn't think that bats needed sight because the have echo location.
Myth 12: Stars fuse all elements.
You probably think that stars fuse all of the elements but in reality the heaviest element a star can fuse is iron. And a star would have to be 10 times the mass of the sun to fuse iron at the minimum. Most of the elements in the periodic table is formed by supernovas. Also a couple of the elements are made by people.
