                         Bee bots' traveling in  Greece

Ronald and Dominic ,two friends  bee bots,  wanted to travel a lot and to meet new friends !

            Hello! My name is Dominic           And my name is Ronald!

           and i love to travel !                           I love to travel too!

                            Do you think that is time for a new trip?

                                             Let's start it!

        The two friends  decided to start his trip from Greece and the

         beautiful city of Trikala. Their  beautiful  trip  just has begun!

During their walk to the city of Trikala which be crossed by Lithaios

 river, tributary of Pineios, they saw a big bridge in the center of the

 cityover the river of the bridge was so beautiful ,made by iron and

 had lot of different lights at the night.

Wanted to Know more about the central bridge of Trikala city ,they

 learned that is a very old bridge ,made by French engineers at 1888

 that edited design, study and construction, apparently inspired by

 the bridges of the Seine. 

The minerals were shipped from France and it is an architectural

 jewel and a symbolic bridge because it is the main connecting point 

of new and old city. Nowadays the bridge  is a place for rest and a 

pole of attraction for visitors.

Next stop was the castle of Trikala that located at the north-eastern side of the town. It was built by the Emperor Justinian (6th century) in the place of the ancient acropolis of Trikki.

  Around the castle is the old city of Trikala, Varusi, where there are old buildings  built between 17th and 19th century, with a unique  architecture.  Here are located some of the best restaurants, coffee 

shops and bars.Ronald and Dominic  decided to visited this beautiful  neighborhood and walked around !And they were  really excited!

Next stop was the  railway station of city. Another very old and beautiful building !Perfect way to travel by train , Dominic  thought. 

       Time to visit the old Kursum Mosque an Ottoman mosque,                    building  from period 1550–60, most likely in the late 155o!

But how could we miss visiting Meteora? The giant rocks of  Meteora, created 60  million years ago, over the town of Kalambaka  are unique in all over the world.

       Metéora is included on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

              Ronald and Dominic found the place just perfect! 

In the region around of Trikala there are lot of arced bridges and the two friends   decides to visited the bridge of Paleokaria with the water fall. 

   Next stop the arched bridge of Pili, builted in 1514 by St. Vissarion

    and up to 1936 was the only link between the plain of Thessaly and 

    the villages of Pindos. 

Dominic  and Ronald  visited also  the monastery of Doliana,  a monastery with special  architecture  having 13 domes !

        Around the region there are also lot of monasteries and churches. 

         One of them is the old church of Porta Panagia (12th century)

One more important  sight  of the region is Theopetra Cave 

and the bee bots could not miss it! 

This cave is located in the chalky hill of Theopetra village, 4km away from Kalabaka. Research has proved that the cave has been inhabited from the Middle Paleolithic period until the end of the Neolithic period. The cave findings give to it a scientific importance for the evolution of human beings. 

This unique cave with its great location, its superb access to fresh clean water and its vantage point, served like a magnet for early inhabitants who could recognize from miles away such key advantages. So those early human settlers used it continuously for more than 130.000 years.

The  Prefecture of Trikala is a natural and historic monument  and can be characterized as one of the most developed areas culturally and touristically.

Is the place where myths were born, where experiences never end... 

Is a place dotted with unique, invaluable historical monuments.

A visitor has endless choices, from the rocks and monasteries of Meteora, Byzantine churches and the monasteries of the local villages, castles and ancient theatres to the arched bridges of this region. 

Before she departure from Trikala the two friends visit the Kindergarten of Rιzario, because they  heard that in this school  there are some robots like them and they wanted to meet them face to face!

The two bee bots  departed from Trikala  and travel to  many places 

of Greece and saw lot of ancient places and the Acropolis of Athens!

When Dominic and Ronald saw a plane flying in the sky,Ronald remembered that he could also travel to Latvia and meet some friends there! Ronald agreed with him and both went to  Athens airport !

They also learned the color of Greek flag that was in the airport!

    The two friends ware ready for knew trip!They choosed    

         "Eleftherios Venizelos Airport" fot their new trip!

Dominic, we are in Latvia! This is my home!

Do you know something about Latvia, my friend? 

Don't worry I will show to you our capital and largest city - Riga.

Riga is very famous for its Art Nouveau architecture and freedom monument!

We also have famous buildings - Riga House of Blackheads.

The name of the building comes from the owners of the Blackhead Brotherhood, whose main symbol was the head of a black man depicting Saint Mauritius.

What are the symbols of nature characteristic of Latvia?

You've already heard of the white-tailed deer - our national bird. Although every year a plane is chosen as the "Bird of the Year", the cielava remains the national symbol of our country.

Walking in the meadow, we can meet both the common pipe or daisy and the two-point ladybug. These representatives of the natural world also symbolize Latvia. It is believed that the lady got her name from the ancient Latvian deity Mara. In turn, daisies in various regions of Latvia are also called white flowers, sour cream, baby, daisies and romaine.

Oak and linden are the national trees of Latvia. So you may have heard that girls are called lindens and boys are called oaks.

Amber is the national mineral of our country, which is actually petrified pine resin millions of years ago. Therefore, traces of ancient plants and even insects can often be found in pieces of amber.

The Alūksne Manor Park and Alūksne New Palace– the richest in historical objects in Latvia.
The motto of classicism is: ‘To educate and make virtues attractive’. It can be achieved by imitating the aesthetics of Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome. The ‘pet’ of the German-Baltic Barons Vietinghoff-Scheel family.

Both friends walked around the beautiful castle park.

Then Ronald offered Dominic a ride with The Bānītis. The only narrow gauge train in the Baltics that still provides regular passenger traffic.

Maybe we will play another game with my friend Photon? This is about the places we visited today!

Yes, I want to see these places again! But then we have to move on, Ronald!

It is a preschool educational institution "Sprīdītis", there are a lot of my friends' robots here.

Next, both friends decided to take a bus from Aluksne to Riga International Airport to travel to warm and sunny Spain!

Dominic, we have just arrived in Spain!! We are in Murcia, a small city which is located in the southest of this country. Would you like to learn more about this beautiful city? 

Let's go!

This is the town hall of Murcia, one of the most important places in this city. Here, politicians took decisions to improve the public services of the town.

Ronald and Dominic continue their visit walking  along the Segura river. They saw lots of palms and orange trees. They love the views.

Ronald, do you know which monument is this? asked Dominic.

- Yes, it is the Cathedral of Murcia. My mum was here 5 months ago and she showed to me some picturews. I love this monument!

Ronald and Dominic were very hungry so they went to eat some dishes typical from Murcia. They tasted a meat pie, marineras and zarangollo. It were  delicious!

Next visit for this two friends were "The Casino", a fantastic place to see pieces of art, to read books in the library or dancing in the Royal room.
