Once there was a man and a dog that lived in a fancy house. The man was an astronaut. He left all the time, months at a time. One day, the man was going to go for a space mission. The dog didn't like this. Not one bit. The reason was because the man would be gone most of the time, and the dog would have somebody else taking care of him.

The dog jumped into the car while it was driving off. The man was going to be in a space ship for quite a while. So the dog would be gone for a while.

When the man and the dog were in space, that's when the man noticed him. "Buster" (that's the dogs name) "why did you come up here?!" "Ruff, ruff" Buster replied. "I wish I could understand dog language!" The man replied. "Ruff, ruff!" The dog replied. "Well, it'll be 10 months up here." The man replied. "Ruff, ruff." The dog replied in sadness. "I know, I know!" The man replied. "Don't worry, don't worry." The man replied. "We have an overload of dog treats just for this situation." The man said. "Ruff, ruff!" The dog replied, with longing. The dog hadn't had doggy treats in years. (Please note that the dog was eating other dog foods.) "So, what do you want to do right now?" "Play chess?" "Ruff, ruff!" The dog replied. 

It was hard to play chess in space. Let's just say that there was a lot of tape involved. The man was a horrible chess player! The dog beat him. 48 times in a row. "Oh come on!" The man said with frustration. "Ruff, ruff!" The dog said with teasingness. "Yeah, yap it up at your daddy, the horrible chess player." The dog beat him again. "I haven't won one single time that we started playing chess!" The man said with crazy frustration. "Ruff, ruff, ruff!" The dog said with teasingness. "Okay, let's do something else, maybe watch some news?" "Ruff, ruff, ruff!" The dog said. He liked the chocolate news channel. The chocolate news channel was talking about how good the quality of the chocolate was, and how good of a profit chocolate was making.
