For centuries North Korea has been conduction ballistic missile tests. Kim Jong Un, the dictator of North Korea, takes great pride in weaponry and likes to show it off. Having large dangerous nuclear weapons makes Kim Jong Un feel powerful, and makes the citizens of North Korea feel protected.

However, the U.S has noticed these tests and finds it threatening. Seeing a country which isn't their ally test missiles powerful enough to reach the U.S is intimidating to the U.S government. 

This can't be good. Kim Jong Un must be trying to instigate violence with my country!

When the U.S brought up this issue with North Korea, their government claimed they had never meant to intimidate other countries with  missile tests. The U.S speculated this claim and still thinks that these tests can mean no good for themselves and neighboring countries of North Korea.

We mean no harm truly! We just like to test our nuclear weaponry!

You are trying to scare us, aren't you? I don't like you testing these powerful weapons that could endanger my people.

We only have our weapons for self defense.

The U.S didn't believe that the missile testing was safe, so they decided to place sanctions on the North Korean government to stop the testing. It was their hope that these sanctions would protect the U.S and other possible targets of Kim Jong Un. 

Something has to be done to stop North Korea. These weaponry tests are a danger to the world.
