WAM!

It's the red shoes vs the brown blankets in a baseball game. Chris is up at bat, and he bats the ball very far. He almost gets thrown out. Then he notices that the ball is an orange. He whispers the secret to the next person. Instead of the next batter hitting the ball, they eat it, since it is an orange.

Chris
Maddie
Piper
Liyah
Now the pitcher, Piper, is mad at the batter who ate the ball, that was actually an orange. The batter's name was Maddie. Piper thinks that Maddie should be disqualified from the game for eating the orange ball.
Then Piper looks at Chris, because he told Maddie to eat the orange ball. Chris is very nervous. Piper reminds Chris that he shouldn't tell people to eat baseballs. Now Chris is confused, and did not understand what he did wrong. They tried to move on by getting a new ball. They reach into the bin for another baseball, BUT they get another orange ball again.

Chris tells them an orange is NOT a baseball! Piper was very confused. She must not have been paying close attention, because she said out loud "we were using a baseball this whole time." Maddie and Chris responded together, "we were not." Then the other players get confused and start talking to each other.
Suddenly, everyone goes to the baseball bin. They look inside and notice there are oranges everywhere inside the bin. All at once they wonder who could be putting these oranges in the baseball bin.

All the players go looking for the ball, but it's nowhere to be found. They looked everywhere. Then, Piper's best friend Liyah says "I know just where the balls could be."
Liyah was no regular baseball player. She was also a problem solver. She has an older brother that goes on hunts to solve mysteries. The last time he went on a discovery he solved 8/10 mysteries. Now, as Liyah thinks about all she has learned from her brother, she realizes that she knows exactly what to do.

Tony

Liyah and the other players find the place of the person who could have taken the baseballs.......Steve's place. When Liyah approaches Steve he says he didn't take them, but he knows just who did. He tells them exactly what happened.
Steve begins. "I've seen this person around the park. He came to my house to have some lemonade. I had 100 baseballs for the baseball game. He took some of them and put oranges in the bin. When he left he dropped baseballs on a path from my house.

Mary
Then another little boy named Tony said "I've seen the baseball trail. Everyone looked down at their feet and saw the baseballs trailing from the house to somewhere mysterious.
They followed the trail all the way back to a park. Finally, they noticed they were at the BASEBALL PARK. They wondered aloud, "where could this man be, or woman". Then they went across the street to the store, where they found another trail of balls.
"I've been counting" says Coach Nut.
Coach Nut continues. "I've seen 100 baseballs. Steve said he had 100. He must have bought some more."
They walked across seeing more baseballs. They went in a circle, and then they found the trail stopped at a tree.

Steve

BOOM! Chris hits the tree with the bat, and it knocks the tree flat. Then the man runs out. The kids chase him all around. Finally they have him cornered by a bunch of dogs. The dogs were afraid, so they ran away. The man keeps running and tries running up a building. Now he is trapped. They have him., but this man is too fast. He tries running to the ball park.
The person in the tree was blurry at first. He knows who they are. Chris yells, "Excuse me! Can you come down here? We want to talk to you." The man says "no". Then Chris threatens, "Come down here before I hit the tree with this bat." "Go ahead and do it", says the man.

The man runs back to the park, finds the oranges, peels them open, and throws down the orange peel. Everyone else slips, but Liyah. Liyah is so good at capturing people. She puts an orange peel in his path, he slips right on it, and she captures him. She says, "now this is the person who has taken the baseballs".
Liyah calls the police, and tells him what happened. She asks if he can take this guy in. The police officer says he will be watched by him, and if he tries to run away then he will put him in jail for what he was doing.
Now the kids were happily playing baseball, while the man named Charlie was sitting down watching the game without lemonade and pizza.
