Baby Bigfoot has been really sad. He misses adventures with his family. He confided his feelings to his friend Stitch.
Stitch loves adventures. He suggested an adventure of their own to help Baby Bigfoot feel better.
But where on earth should they go?
Baby Bigfoot learned the home of the Yeti is in the Himalayan Mountains of Nepal. Maybe if I travel back to my origins, my heart will heal thought Baby Bigfoot.
"Let's go to Nepal" said Baby Bigfoot. "But Nepal is 7,599 miles from Chicago, how will we get there?"
"You will have to fly," said Stitch. Baby Bigfoot has never been on an airplane. "Will you take the journey with me Stitch? I am scared to travel alone."
"It would be my honor," said Stitch. "It has been a long time since I have been on adventure."

Baby Bigfoot and Stitch had a big journey ahead of them. They would have to take 3 planes, flying 26 hrs. to get to the Himalayan mountains, learn new languages and dress differently traveling through the Middle East and Asia. They would fly from Chicago to Qatar, then Kathmandu and finally Lukla.

Upon arrival in Kathmandu, Baby Big Bigfoot learned there were sacred temples from the Buddhist and Hindu religions. What a great chance to learn more about my ancestors thought Baby Bigfoot. "Can we visit the temples Stitch?"
"Absolutely," said Stitch. "Maybe we will learn more from your ancestors about how heal your heart Baby Bigfoot."
Stitch is a good friend.

The next morning, Baby Bigfoot and Stitch would journey to the Himalayas.
To get there they would have to fly to the most dangerous airport in the world, Lukla.
From Lukla, Baby Bigfoot and Stitch would hike 38 miles one way (a total of 76 miles) to reach the Great Chomolungma, Mother Goddess of the World, Mt. Everest.
They would travel to great heights, through 3 different climate zones, hiking over vast suspension bridges connecting mountains, climb through rocky terrain and need to be very careful ascending slowly to avoid High Altitude Mountain Sickness.
High Altitude Mountain Sickness is the gravest danger of all in the mountains.
