There once was a goose. But this goose was special, he had moose antlers. His friends called him Goose Moose, or they would, if he had any.

    Instead Goose Moose was a loner, but not by choice. All the other geese ridiculed him constantly.

    "Look at that silly goose over there," quacked one of the geese.

   "I feel bad for that weirdo, he must have no friends," Croaked another.

   Tears began pouring out of Goose Moose's eyes and he sprinted off so the others wouldn't see him cry. 

   He sat alone in a large bush sniffling back tears and attempted to calm down.

    The Elder Goose emerged from behind the bushes startling Goose Moose.

   "Why are you crying my son?" Elder Goose asked. He had a look of curiosity and pity on his face.

Goose Moose sniffled again, "The other geese are making fun of me," he squeaked out. 

Elder Goose nodded. "I understand why you're sad, but you must not let them get you down," Elder Goose advised. "Perhaps a journey would benefit you. Go out, Goose Moose, and meet other animals. Then, you may be more comfortable with yourself."

   Together Goose Moose and Elder Goose emerged from the bush. Elder Goose patted Goose Moose on the back.

   "You've got this," he assured Goose Moose.

The next day Goose Moose set off on his great journey. The thought of going out alone frightened him, but he felt emboldened by what Elder Goose said to him yesterday.

"I've got this," he assured himself. 

    Goose Moose started trodding down a path leading out of the goose village. All the trees looked the same, and he was excited to see something new. 

After a few days Moose Goose arrived at a pond. He felt thirsty so he stopped to sip some water. He jumped when he heard rustling in the ferns behind him.
