What is Plastic Pollution?
Plastic Pollution (also part of water pollution), is when people dump plastic into the ocean or litter it on the streets. The marine animals are mostly affected by this, as when they see the plastic, most of the time they will think it is food, eat it and then sadly pass away. They can also get tangled in plastic very easily.

What causes Plastic Pollution?
In nature, there is no waste that does not break. Humans, however, have invented plastic which will always be ‘unnatural’ in the environment because of what it contains. Plastic is so widely used, it almost always ends up in the environment, causing more plastic pollution. And not just because someone leaves a piece of plastic on the street instead of putting it in a waste bin, it usually gets drifted to the sea.
The main cause of plastic being drifted to sea, is littering. People and factories dispose of many plastic items, but the main one being bottles. When littering plastic, it will usually drift away to waterways and soon the ocean.
The effect plastic pollution brings on us, is a big deal! When we don't recycle our plastic and litter, we are then affecting the habitats and natural processes, reducing the ecosystems' ability to adapt to climate change, which is directly affecting millions of people's lives and food production. We have MULTIPLE ways to get rid of plastic pollution but they are not being put TO USE!
What effect does Plastic Pollution bring on us?
We need to stop polluting and start helping our planet recover from this dangerous situation that we (and our home) are facing right now. We need to get to work and tell EVERYOBDY to join in. Yes. I mean EVERYBODY!

Ways to get rid of Plastic Pollution
Not buying plastic bottled water is very good for saving not only the sea, but the enviorment. Using tap water is perfectly good as having bottled water. If you still prefer plastic bottled water, then the best thing you could do is recycle it!
Takeways raise any ideas? Cooking yourself is a lot healthier but also avoids takeaways which are brought in doggy, plastic bags.
When we waste plastic (or other essentials that contain plastic), three quarters of it end up in the sea, lake, river or ocean. In less developed countries, more of the waste ends up in the ocean and even tap water, which brings a huge vital risk to our bodies aswell!
