There once was a bunny named Charles, who hopped all day, and hopped all night, to find his magical field of carrots.

I wonder where the carrot field is...

One day, while he was hopping along, he came across a mysterious light, which made all sorts of scary shadows on the wall.

Can you make a shadow puppet?

Hmm... I wonder where that light is coming from...

While Charles was hopping along in the cave, he got more and more scared. But then he saw a light. 

Hooray!

On the other side of the cave, he found a funny-looking creature he had never seen before.

Hmm... I have never seen this type of creature before.

Charles went up to the creature and asked, "E...e...excuse me, but I am lost and scared. Can you help me?"

The creature looked up at him and said: "Why, of course, I can. Hello. My name is Sandy, and I am a dinosaur."

My name is Sandy. Nice to meet you.

Charles got startled and quickly hopped away, only because of how scary he thought she looked.

Ahh, the creature is scary! 

As Charles hopped farther and farther away from the creature, he began to realize that he did not know where he was. He started to worry if he would ever find his way.

Oh no. I think I am lost, and do not know which way to go. I just want to go home.

As he went deeper and deeper into the forest, he saw another creature, only this time he thought it did not look as scary as the other one.

Ooh, yay! Maybe he can help me find my way.

He looked at the new creature and said, 

"Hi, my name is Charles. What is your name?"

The creature looked at him and said:

"Hi, Charles. I am Monty, and I am a deer."

"Well, Monty the Deer," Charles said, "I am lost, and cannot seem to find my way."

"Well, Charles," Monty happily replied, "Where are you trying to go?"

"Well, that is the problem. I cannot remember. I think it was that way." Charles pointed right.

"Ahh, you are trying to head to the canyon, eh? Well, I happened to be heading that way as well. I will help you get back," Monty decided.

"

So, Charles the bunny and Monty the deer set out to find the canyon. They kept walking until they were finally there.

Monty looked at Charles and said, "Well, this is where we must part. My herd is that way." He looked to the right.

"I will miss you, Monty. But it was good meeting you. Thank you", Charles replied.

"Anytime, little buddy," the deer said.

Then Monty set off to find his herd.
