Under a full moon that shined brighter than a diamond through the puffy gray clouds below...

a kitten darker than night stumbled over jagged rocks and dewy green grass. His big, round, green eyes searched for the perfect place to hide as the sky danced with flashing lights and booming bass drums. 

He mewed loud and strong in hopes that his family would hear him and come back. 

No one came. 

His small paws scampered up steps, red in color with white stripes where the paint was stripped away. The sky crackled, and the poor kitten ran at full speed until he ran into an invisible wall.

The kitten mewed, "MEOW MEOW MEOW" until, suddenly, two girls stood before him.

The girl with red hair bent down to grab the kitten, but he immediately ran beyond them and into a large space with a slippery ground.

The kitten slipped and slid until the girl with red hair picked him up. 

The kitten's heart started to pound as he squirmed in the girl's arms. He bore his claws, ready to attack when the girl with curly hair put her face next to his. As he tried to get away, he cried, "MEOW MEOW MEOW!"
