Irish wolfhounds are calm, GIANT dogs. They make loving family pets. They're loyal and sweet. Irish wolfhounds are the world's tallest dog breed! They're almost 3 feet tall! The largest stand up to 7 feet tall on their back legs! They can live 6 to 8 years. They are such big sweeties.
SHAGGY BUT STRONG
Irish wolfhounds have long muzzles. Irish wolfhound coats are rough and shaggy. They come in many colors. Black, red, and grey are just a few. Some have brindle coats.
Newfoundlands
WHAT ARE NEWFOUNDLANDS?
Newfoundlands are known for being smart and strong. They are friendly helpers. And super gentle. People often call them Newfies. Newfies also have wide muzzles. They also have large heads. That leaves so much room for their big brains. They have small, dark eyes. Newfie ears look like triangles with rounded tips.
STRONG, DOUBLE-COATED DOGS
These dogs have big, strong bodies. They can weigh up to 150 pounds! (68 kilograms!) That's a really heavy dog! Newfies have webbed paws and muscular legs that make them excellent swimmers. Newfies have heavy double coats. Newfies can also be brown, gray, or black. Some are white with black markings. They are such beautiful dogs!
Beagles
A BEAGLE'S PERSONALITY
Beagles are a breed of hunting dog. They have a good sense of smell. Small beagles follow their noses everywhere. They are very curious dogs. Beagle puppies love to play. They like to be with people.

Tricolor beagles have three colors of fur. White, brown, and black. Their strait tails point up when they run. A beagle's ears are long and soft. They have a smooth, rounded head.
