Dear Lea,
I just received your letter. Young Raina will grow into a cunning young sorceress under your supervision, I have no doubt. But after you have trained her, you must hand Riana over to me so that I can complete her training. If you do not, I shall force you to.

Raina was taken out of town and, to her surprise, brought straight up to her home in the mountain. Captain Komani got off his horse and she was brought down as well. Her wrists were still tied and the gag was tight around her mouth.
A guard grabbed her shoulder and pushed her forward. Raina knew that her eyes must be puffy and red because she had been crying on the way up the mountain. She was shoved to the entrance of her cave, beside Komani.
"Here we shall find evidence that you are a witch," he said, casting her a disdainful glare.
Raina didn't answer because her mouth was still gagged. Komani pushed her forward as they entered her home. "Spread out!" Komani ordered. "See what you can find!"
Raina walked toward her lake. Komani followed, not trusting her.
"Nothing over here," a guard yelled.
"Where is it?" Komani asked, turning to Raina. "Where's the stone?"
Raina shrugged and Komani ripped the gag from her mouth," Speak!" Instead, Raina spat straight into his face. Komani cursed in anger and slapped Raina.
She fell back and stumbled over a rock. She splashed into the lake. Clenching her hands, Raina slowly got to her knees. Suddenly her hands started glowing with a bright yellow light and she opened them.
Captain Komani was still cursing, wiping the spit form his face. He turned to her, then stopped, staring at her outstretched hands.
The water surrounding Raina began to ripple as a strong wind filled the cave.
"What is she doing?" a guard with black hair asked.
"I don't know," Komani said. "But whatever it is, it's witchcraft. Stop her now!"
The guards were too afraid to approach Raina so they stayed out of the lake. But the black-haired one grabbed a double-edged sword and strode confidently toward the water.
Raina watched him approaching, but she couldn't stop what she was doing. The power seemed to keep her glued to the spot. The man was getting closer, his sword held out in front of him.
"Put you hands down," he ordered tensely, but Raina could hear the fear in his voice. "I said put your hands down!"
"I can't!" she yelled back. Then, the light stopped and
the whole cave was filled with an unearthly darkness. It was still morning but it was pitch-black in the cave. Until Raina's body began to glow. Her hands were filled with light and the black-haired guard stepped back.
"Xander!" Komani yelled though the darkness. "Grab her!"
Raina started running through the black water as Xander pursued her. There was a small exit to the cave not far from where Raina was, if she reached it then she could escape!
She found the small doorway and stepped onto dry land to go through it. She ran into the sunshine. She was on a
cliff overlooking a great stone valley. And it was here that her transformation happened. Before she could yell, Raina was lifted from the ground and her originally black dress changed to a shimmering white. Her hair was pulled into a light bun and secured with a bow. And in her hand formed a large sword.
Raina swung around and pointed it at Xander who had exited the cave. He lifted his sword and they faced off. Raina had never been good with swords, but the power inside of her was helping her deflect Xander's attacks and make her own.
They clashed their swords together for minutes until
