There was a dog on the beach.
This dog liked to ...
Peter was a shepherd who always took his sheep to the field. One day, he was very bored and he decided to make a joke: he started to shout that a wolf was coming but, in truth, there was none.

The people of the village ran out to help Pedro, but when they arrived they only saw Pedro laughing loudly. The villagers told him that he couldn't lie about that kind of thing and that it wasn't good to make jokes like that.
The next day, Pedro repeated the joke and the villagers challenged him again. The days passed and Pedro continued taking his sheep to graze. One day he was in the field and saw a wolf approaching, so Pedro started screaming for help.

This time, the villagers did not believe him. Then the wolf attacked some of his sheep and Peter ran away. From that day, Pedro did not tell lies again.

This fable is attributed to Aesop, but it is not known for sure if he is the author. Like all fables, it seeks to convey a moral: it is not okay to lie and make fun of people.
