A long time ago there was a time when the moon did not shine at night.

As soon as the bright sun would go down with its shining yellow and orange rays, the moon would show up, but with only a black and gray cast around it. 

One day a little girl stepped outside and asked her mom "why is the moon so dark and the sun so bright?"  

The mother replied " I am not sure maybe the moon was meant to be dark." 

  "why is the moon so dark and the sun so bright?" "why idfljfndss the moon so dark and the sun so bright?" "why is the moon so dark and the sun so bright?" "why is the moon so dark and the sun so bright?"  "why is the moon so dark and the sun so bright?"

The little girl stood there and thought "well, why doesn't the sun just share it's light with the moon?" All the mother could think was how great of an idea that was. "I am not sure honey, but that would be nice." 

The moon heard the conversation between the girl and her mother and wondered the same thing. "Well why can't the sun share her light? She shines so bright and gets admired. Why can't I?" questioned the moon. 

The next day, the moon went to the sun and asked if he could borrow some of her light so he could shine and be admired just as she was. 

The sun looked at the moon and said 

"i'll let you borrow my light and even create different shapes on you every once and awhile so that you can be all the more beautiful."
