In the Book, The Enormous Egg by Oliver 

Butterworth, I think Nate made the right 

decision by sending Uncle Beazley to 

Washington D.C. to live.

     First, I think it is too cold in New 

Hampshire for Uncle Beazley to 

survive.   He is a cold blooded animal and 

can't control his body temperature.  

New Hampshire winter get below 

freezing, and Uncle Beazley would die.  

There is no place big enough for him to 

stay warm in Nate's little house.

     My next reason why I think he made 

the right decision is that because Uncle 

Beazley will not have enough to eat when he 

grows to full size.   Uncle Beazley is growing 

very quickly, and Dr. Ziemer said he will 

need to eat over a ton of grass a day.  

There is no way Nate can get that much 

grass in his neighborhood.   Uncle Beazley 

would starve in no time at all.

Finally, it is better for Uncle 

Beazley to go to live in the zoo.   The 

city is no place for a dinosaur or his 

size.   One morning, when Nate was 

walking Uncle Beazley, a truck 

honked his horn and Uncle Beazley 

turned the truck upside down.

Although, it was very hard for 

Nate to let his pet go to live so 

far away, he knew it was the right 

decision for Uncle Beazley.
