Film Title
The title of our film is "TWO WORLDS". We chose
this font as it describes how two key protagonists
come from two different worlds and emphasizes
these characters are completely opposite from
each-other. We displayed the title of our film at
the end of the trailer as this makes the name of
the film more memorable and it sticks in the
audiences mind for longer, allowing them to
research the film further so they can then decide
on whether or not they want to watch the film.
With the title coming at the end of the film it
follows the key convention of a crime/thriller
trailer.

Locations
Our trailer is filmed in a variety of locations. This is similar to many trailers of the
crime/thriller genre. Having a variety of genres adds interest and differentiation to
the trailer. We recognized that crime/thriller trailers have a variety of locations in
their trailers. We made sure we chose locations which we could easily access and
that we knew we could gain permission to film there. Our locations helped to reveal
the personality of our characters and helped to emphasize their wealth. In total we
filmed in 7 different locations. We carefully filmed some locations to look like we had
filmed at more.
The Golf Club. The golf club helped to emphasize the wealth of Christian Maddox,
as golf is an expensive sport to participate in, it helped to connote that Christian is
wealthy. The golf club scene was one of the first in the trailer, this helped to quickly
establish with the audience what Christian was like and what kind of characters
there are in the film.
Country Road. The country road was also used to emphasize the wealth of
Christian Maddox as we were able to show his expensive sports car and give the
audience an idea of where he lives. THe country road was a suitable area to film as
it allowed our driver to drive the car at a high speed while keeping in line with speed
limits. We wanted the car to drive past quickly as it added interest to the trailer and
excitement.

Locations
School Studio. Filming in the studio helped us to add tension to some of the scenes
within the film trailer. The interrogation scene between Christian and Evie was filmed
in the studio. The studio is a dark room with lighting equipment which we were able
to use to add tension to the scene and make it look like Evie was being held hostage
in a basement in Christians House. This helped to follow the key convention of a
thriller trailer with a hostage in a dark place.
Macclesfield College. Filming at Macclesfield College helped to emphasize that Evie
is a young girl as she still attends education. We followed key conventions of thriller
trailers by having a young girl being kidnapped from a place she is usually at, such as
a school or park.
My House. We filmed the scene of Evie and Simon arguing. This again used key
conventions from thriller trailer genre as it explains to the audience why Simon is
stealing. The house also helps to show that Evie and Simon aren't as wealthy as
Christian, this helps to show that the 3 are from two different worlds.

Locations
School Woods. The school woodland was used to film the scene where Simon and
Evie are running away from Christian who is off screen. The woodland follows key
conventions set by thriller trailers as it shows that characters often escape off the
beaten track and out of the public eye so they can sneak away undetected. The
woodland also helps to add more variety to the locations.
April's House. We filmed at April's house because we felt that we needed to add
more locations into the trailer and to show that Christian has a big house and to
emphasize his wealth. Filming at the house also helped to build tension as we filmed
Christian running through the house to discover what has happened to his house
with neither him or the audience knowing what was round the corner. As well as
filming in April's kitchen and hallway we filmed in her garage to show the scene of
Christian discovering that his money has been stolen. The garage was ideal for this
scene as it had low key lighting which helped to add tension and mystery to the
scene.
