On an island far away lived a King
and a Queen who were blessed with
a beautiful baby boy. They named
him Dysmas, which meant dusk.

A few days after he was
born, three gnomes came
and blessed the prince with
gifts. The first gnome,
named Buster, blessed
Dysmas with the gift of
beauty. He was to have hair as
red as a rose and eyes brighter
than the sun.
The second gnome, who
went by the name of
Bartholomew, gifted him
with song. He was to sing
his feelings, because we all
know how great it is to burst
out into random song out of no
where.

She proceeded to scream “How DARE you all not invite me! I am
the life of all parties! So, because I was so rudely left out, I too shall
gift dear Prince Dysmas!”

The last gnome, named Barney, was about to bless baby Dysmas
with his gift when the evil witch Femaleficent stormed into the
castle. She was furious that she wasn't invited to such a fabulous
event.

She lifted her bony hand and said “I curse Dysmas, that on his 16th
birthday, he shall receive a very excruciating paper cut and fall
asleep forever and ever. Mwhahahaha!”

“NOT A PAPER CUT!” screamed Buster, but it was too late.
Femaleficent was gone.

The King and Queen took Dysmas home and the gnomes began to
talk.

The King and Queen held their child and started to cry. “I can still
give him my gift!” proclaimed Barney. “I can't do much, but I bless
this child that he shall not sleep forever. He shall awaken if he
receives an act of love from a beautiful princess.”

“What are we going to do?!” whines Buster. “We need to protect
him!”
“We can't just burn all the things that could give him a paper cut,
that could be anything!” said Bartholomew.
“I have an idea!” shouts Barney. “What if we put him into the
witness protection program? I mean, this is the 21st century.”

“Yeah! We could have him live with us, give him a new name, cut
him off from all civilization in the middle of nowhere until he's 16!”
shriked Bartholomew.
“Its perfect.” said Buster with a smile.
And with that, they ran to tell the King and Queen who agreed and
they took Dysmas into the middle of the woods so he could start
his new life.

“Tomorrow is my 16th birth-day and I'm so ex-cit-eddddd!” sang
Dysmas as he leaped around with his animal friends. He wasn't
known as Dysmas though. He went by Reed.
Reed was too busy prancing around and singing that he didn't notice
a beautiful girl watching him from afar. “What a weirdo...” said to her
horse.

She then came up to Reed and accidentally frightened him. “Good
heavens, you sure did scare meeee, I was so sur-prised good-ness!”
“I'm so sorry. I was just riding through the woods and heard your
singing. You're really talented, but why do you have to sing
everything?” asked the girl.
“I don't really know. I was born doing it really.” said Reed

“My names Harmony.” said
the girl.
“And I'm Reed.”
And they spent the entire
day getting to know each
other, you know, what
normal humans usually do.
“I feel like I've met you
before, Harmony. Once
upon a dreammm...” Reed
started to sing.
“That's weird...” Harmony
said, and Reed stopped
right there.

Reed invited Harmony over to his house for dinner and she said
she'd love to. So they both ran home so they could get ready.

“Dads! I met a beautiful girl and she's coming over for dinner
tonight!” said Reed excitedly.
“That can't happen!” said Barney “You have plans tonight at the
castle. Do you not remember me telling you this morning?”
“...No.” said Reed, trying to remember and now very sad.

“We're really sorry, Reed. We have to leave right now. We won't be
coming back either.” said Bartholomew trying to console Reed. But
it was too late, he was already running up to his room to cry.
Buster ran up after him. “Stop crying Reed, you just met this girl
and you're only 15.”
“But it's looove. I'm in loooove! Boo hoo” sang Reed, sobbing into
his pillow. But it was time to go, and with that, they left.

Femaleficent has been looking for Dysmas for years and years now
and is getting irritated. “ I don't understand how you guys haven't
found him yet!” she screamed at her servants.

“It's really hard trying to find the same baby for 16 years,
Femaleificent! We've literally checked every craddle!”
“You... craddles... baby...” and she realized that they weren't
looking for a grown boy. She then flew out of the castle, destroyed
it with all the servants, and left to find him herself.

The gnomes and Reed were heading towards the castle. But while they
were dragging Reed out of the house, Barney forgot to put on his
shoes. And if gnomes don't wear shoes when they go outside, they
leave very distinct footprints.
As Femaleficent was sneaking around the woods, she spotted these
footprints on the ground that were obviously from a gnome. She
followed them and crept quietly behind them waiting for the perfect
change to put her plan into action.

Femaleficent hypnotized Reed with the smell of fresh cut
vegetables sauteed and glazed upon a juicy steak because we all
know how much guys love food. And his dads didn't even notice
because they were too busy arguing about what that smell is to
notice Reed was gone. Femaleificent had a whole meal set up on a
table. And next to the food was a letter made out to him, from
Harmony.

The gnomes noticed he was gone and they started running after
him, but it was too late. Their legs were too short and Reed was too
excited that he got a letter from Harmony that as he ripped it open,
he received a nasty paper cut on his hand. Reed fell to the floor and
the only thing you could hear is Femaleificent laughing in the sky.
