Where leprechauns live
Leprechauns are a type of Irish folklore, they live in tiny underground caves or tree trunks they tend to dwell in. They're tiny, and they hide from humans. They are called what the Irish call the wee folk (daoine beag).
Leprechauns
Living in the emerald aisle in Ireland are one of the most popular solitary fairies: Leprechauns. Never happier when busy. They wear pointed hats and buckled shoes but stand at only 3 feet tall. They wear aprons with lots of pockets to carry their tools as they are constantly making fairy shoes that other fairies love. They're said to work under leaves and hedges. People say if you listen hard enough, you'll hear the tap, tap, tap of their hammers in the Irish countryside. they're the richest of all the wee folk (daoine beag).they act as bankers, oddly enough and are cautious of who they lend their money to. Stories say they buried their gold when the Vikings invaded Ireland.

Rainbows and
gold
In Ireland, legend has it that you will find a Leprechaun's gold at the end of a rainbow. That's a problem for Leprechauns. If one pot of gold is buried under a rainbow, they'll soon have to move it to another hiding place and that keeps them busy!

Smart Leprechauns

A Leprechaun has 2 types of coins. Silver, and gold. But the silver one returns to the purse and the gold one turns to ashes. Then, the Leprechaun vanishes.

Story time
There are stories of leprechauns told by Insamhlóir seanscéalta (tellers of ancient tales). Like this one. It's about a farmer that managed to trap a Leprechaun and forced him to reveal where he hid his pot of gold. "It's right here. Under this bush." Said the leprechaun, leading the farmer to a field of ragwort. The farmer tied a ribbon around the plant, thinking he would soon be rich. Hours later, the farmer returned with surprise and
anger to see dozens of ribbons on flowers! And in a blink, the leprechaun was gone.

Clurichauns (CLOOR-ih-konz)
Leprechauns have very lazy relatives called Clurichauns. Both fairies look alike, but unlike Leprechauns, they enjoy dressing up. They put on things like red clothes, fancy blue silk stockings and red caps with gold laces. Like Leprechauns, they carry bags of silver coins with them. Clurichauns hate to work. Instead, they drink wine and have fun. If you drink too much wine, the Clurichaun will give
