I observed many things when got to the lithosphere. The first
things i noticed was that it is made up of two parts; the oceanic
and the continental parts. The continental lithosphere contains
sedimentary rock that forms the continents and the continental
shelves. This is made of granitic rock. The temperature of the
Lithosphere ranges from 300-500 degrees celsius. I also noticed
that it is 50-100 kilometers thick.

the Asthenosphere. I first noticed that it was right below the lithosphere. I also
noticed that it was very hot. The temperatature can range from 1400 to 300 degrees
celsius! Also, the density is 4.4 to 5.5 g/cc. Its thickness is 180 km and it is made of
plastic rock, olivines, pyroxenes, garnets, and spinels! This layer was the most
interesting so far.

upper mantle! the upper mantle lies
between the crust and the lower mantle.
It also contains 10.3% of our Earth's
mass. It is 250-300 kilometers thick and
is made up of peridotite rock, pyroxene,
and olivine. The temperature is very hot.
It ranges from 500 to 900 degrees celsius.
The most interesting fact that i observed
was that its density is 2.7-3!

that is mostly composed of magnesium, iron-bearing silicates,
olivine, and pyroxene. Another thing that I observed that the
temperature stays between 1400 and 4000 degrees celsius. The
last thing I observed was that it is about 2,900 km thick.

journey was the outer core. It is very hot
here. But it is a liquid layer. It is about
2,266 km thick and it ranges from 4,000
degrees to 9,000 degrees F! Wow! The
last thing that I observed was that it is
made up of nickel and iron. I really like
the outer core!

inner core. This is the hottest of them all,
It can reach up to 10,000 F! Also, it is
about 800 miles thick which is very wide.
The density of the inner core is 5.5 g/cm.
It contains gold, platinum, and uranium.
