After cancelling last year's trip because of Covid precautions, our vacation at Hacienda Petac finally became a reality! The California crew met Madelyn and welcomed her into the family. The three older cousins enjoyed a special week together.

We flew from Maryland and from California. The long-awaited trip to Hacienda Petac had arrived. Lori, Hayden and Eli spent a night in Mexico City before traveling to Merida, Mexico.
I can't wait to see
my cousins!
When we arrived our
rooms were decorated
with fresh flowers and leaves.
Leo introduced Madelyn to Lori, Hayden and Eli.
We went on a scavenger hunt and searched for things around the hacienda. Colleen gave everyone a prize at the end.
The cooks at Hacienda Petac made fresh tortillas every day. They turned some into tortilla chips and also served them warm with our meals.
One day we helped make lunch. We rolled out tortillas that were turned into panuchos.
We chopped cabbage and other veggies, then shredded chicken. It all went into a yummy soup.
At every meal, we were WOW-ed by the unique napkin shapes and beautiful flower designs. One morning, Eli fed Leo pancakes.
