As a kid, I would climb on my rocking horse and play for hours. Rocking back and forth on my small, furry-coated horse named lucky. Lucky was my favorite toy.

I imagined what it would be like to ride a real horse through an open field as fast as I could.

I would even think about it while I played with my mini-sized toy horses.

So I begged my parent each day to let me have riding lessons. My mom and dad had never lived on a farm or even been around horses so they were very unsure of how to get me involved.

Please!

With a lot of persistence, I finally convinced my mom to let me try riding lessons. I was so excited that I was squirming in the car! The whole way to the stables I was talking about horses.
My face was full of excitement with a glowy white smile from ear to ear and I ran up to every horse and petted their thick, furry coats.
