Erickson
Psychosocial
Erickson had an eight stage theory,
Trust vs mistrust
The first stage starts at birth and lasts until the child is 18 months old. Erikson believed it is the most important time of a child's life, because it shapes their view of the world and their personality.
The second stage is between the ages of 18 months to 2 or 3 years. Erikson believed , children at this stage are focused on developing a greater sense of self-control.
in the initiative vs guilt stage children start to use their control and power in the world by directing play and other social interaction.
This stage is between the ages of 3-5
i
in the industry vs inferiority stage a child's social life expands a lot because they enter school and make new friendships with other students . with social interactions children begin to get a sense of pride in their accomplishments and abilities. This ages of this stage are 6-11.
Identity versus role confusion is the 5th stage it occurs during adolescence between the ages of 12 - 18. in this time frame , teens explore themselves.
generality vs stagnation During this stage adults create or take care of things that will outlive them by parenting children or fostering positive changes that benefit the world. ages 40-65
the last stage, ages 65 to death is the integrity versus despair stage this stage is triggered by life events such as retirement or the loss of a spouse.
I agree with Erickson theory because it goes through all the stages and explains a lot
Bowlby's attachment theory says that babies are born with an desire to form attachments, attachments help in survival by ensuring that the child gets help and protection. attachments are made by clear behavioral and motivational patterns. his theory had 4 stages
pre- attachment (6 weeks of living )they have Built in signals, crying and cooing, bring a newborn baby into close proximity with their care givers Babies recognize their caretaker's smell and voice and are comforted it
ATTACHMENT THEORY
Attachment in the making is the second stage
attachment is strengthened in this stage, infants respond differently to family people than they do with strangers.
clear - cut attachment is the 3rd stage (8 months to 18 months): trust in caregivers grows and strengthen in this stage, and separation anxiety is likely when a caregiver is not around .
the last stage of bowlbys attachment theory is formation of reciprocal attachment, language growth facilitates the child understands onew concepts, and children begin to understand a parent's coming and going.
Bowlbys attachment theory makes sense
Sensory-motor stage: The period from birth - 2 where a child's knowledge of the world is limited to sensory perception and motor activity. Behaviors are limited to simple motor responses .
Pre-operational stage: The period from 2 - 6 years old when children learn to use language. In this stage, children do not yet understand specific logic, cannot mentally manipulate information, and cannot accept the views of others.
specific Activity Stage: The period from 7 - 11 years of age when children have a better understanding of mental activities. Children begin to think logically about the facts but have difficulty understanding new concepts or assumptions.
Formal Active Stage: from age the 12 to adulthood when people develop the ability to think about new concepts logical thinking and deductive reasoning and systematic planning emerge during this stage. my opinion: i don't really understand it.
Skinner behavioral theories
Classical conditioning is learning by pairing a natural stimuli with a neutral stimuli.
sociocultural theory: Vygotsky
his theory says that parents, caregivers, peers and culture are responsible for gaining higher-order functions. Vygotsky's saw learning as a social process. by interacting with others, learning becomes integrated with an individual's veiw of the world.
good theory
Bandura's child development theory says that observation plays a role in learning.
The person i agree with the most on is vygotsky because My parents has influence my view on the world greatly.
