One spring morning, a longhorn cow gave birth to a bull. He was smaller than all the other calves but that didn't matter to him. "I will call you Bucky," his mother said.

His brothers made fun of him. " You are so small and you don't even have any horns." They laughed at him.

This made Bucky very sad. His mother said to him, "One day, you will be the leader of our herd, just like your father. You are humble and kind. Just be patient."

Over the next two years Bucky's horns became taller and wider. He started to get big muscles and his horns were growing more everyday.
