Living in the city no one ever saw a bunny. I saw
squirrels and birds but no bunnies. Until one day,
happily hopping along, he came to visit me. He
would graze on grass and drink from the bird
bath. He always made me laugh and that is why I
call him Funny Urban Bunny.

I fed Funny Urban Bunny
carrots by hand. He felt safe with me,
he knew I would never harm him. We were
friends. He would come running looking for a
carrot when he saw me. Wiggling his whisker's, of
course.

One day a storm began to brew. All the animals
ran for shelter. I told Funny Urban Bunny to hide
under the porch. He would be safe there until the
storm passed. He was just a little bunny, born in
spring only a few weeks before.

The next day, he was happily hopping along in the
garden again. Funny Urban Bunny survived his
first storm without a scratch. He ran under the
fence and into my neighbors yard and then he ran
across the street into another yard. He was funny,
always exploring the neighborhood.

Funny Urban Bunny munched
on my flowers and munched on
my neighbor's vegetables. As he
ate, his whisker's would wiggle.
And his little nose wiggled too.

Funny Urban Bunny
made friends with other animals
in the neighborhood. They played all
day until it became dark. Then he scurried under
the fence, into the tall grass to go to sleep. He was
just a little bunny and needed his rest.

During the hot summer days,
Funny Urban Bunny
looked around for a
cool place to rest. He especially liked to
sit under my apple tree and play
with butterflies and bees.
