To Juliette Barnes, who I hope gets to meet her dream of becoming a singer!

Juliette and Raysche are at school, having lunch together, and they are eating slippery noodles.

Of course! I even made my own song just for the show!
Are you excited about the talent show next week Juliette?

You'll be amazing, you're the best singer of the 2nd grade!
Plus it's a Christmas show, I love Christmas!
The bell to lunch rings signaling to everyone that lunch is over, so all the kids at lunch head to the classrooms.

As Juliette's day goes on, she starts to feel a little warm and even has a runny nose.

Juliette's teacher, Mrs. Hampton, sends her to the nurses' office, and it was confirmed that she was sick with a temperature of 101!

I'm sorry sweetie, but you're going to have to go home for the rest of the day
Although Juliette loves school, Juliette agrees to go home knowing she is really sick and doesn't feel well.

Juliette's mother picks her up from school and takes quick action to help her get over the small fever she caught.

As soon as Juliette gets home, her mother gives her medicine, and a bowl of her favorite slippery noodles, and stays in bed with her watching the Harry Potter series.
Even though Juliette feels really sick, she is enjoying being able to spend time with her mother eating her favorite meal, and watching her favorite movies.

By the end of the night, her fever had gotten worse, due to the cold season.
She developed a cough and even felt herself slowly start to loose her voice.
Juliette gets upset as she realizes her voice is damaged, and she can't practice her song for the talent show!

Her mother notices that Juliette looks down and asks,
What's wrong sweetie?
Juliette sighs and with a sore voice says,
I just was hoping to win 1st place for the talent show, but I'm losing my voice.... what if it won't come back by the time the talent show day is here?!

Well, sweetie, you're just going to have to rest your voice.
Rest my voice?

Yes, try talking less until the day of the talent show comes; your voice may need rest.
That's going to be hard, I sing all the time!
