
This book is dedicated to my children Alaina & Ernest.I was inspired by a very special friend of mine Ron Moten co-founder of Don't Mute DC who I aspire to be like everyday. My passion for wanting to educate others in any way I could made me choose this idea for the book.I hope this book will be helpful to students in schools and visitors in our wonderful country. is for Altun Ha
Altun Ha, also known as Rockstone Water is a beautiful Mayan temple located in the village of Rockstone Pond in the Belize District. The Jade Head, the single largest jade Maya artifact was discovered at Altun Ha in 1968.


is for Belmopan
Belmopan City is the capital city of Belize. It is located in the middle of the Cayo district; about a hour’s drive from the old capital of Belize City. Belmopan is the center of government activity. In its center are the National Assembly (or Parliament) Building and the majority of central government offices.


is for Corozal


Corozal was a private estate before becoming a town in the 1840s, mostly settled by maya mestizo refugees from the Caste War of Yucatan.
Corozal town is located about 84 miles north of Belize City and 9 miles from the Belize border with Mexico.

Dangriga, formerly known as Stann Creek Town, is a town in southern Belize, located on the Caribbean coast at the mouth of the North Stann Creek River. It is the capital of Belize's Stann Creek District. Commonly known as the "culture capital of Belize" due to its influence on punta music and other forms of Garifuna culture, Dangriga is the largest settlement in southern Belize.

Esperanza is a village located along the George Price Highway in Cayo District, Belize. It lies approximately four kilometers northeast of San Ignacio.

Flowers Bank is a village in the Belize District. It is a famous place in Belizean history due to its defence of the then British Honduras by not fleeing in the face of Spanish invasion from Yucatán.

Gales Point is a village in Belize District in the nation of Belize, Central America. The village is on a peninsula in the Southern Lagoon The Southern Lagoon's water is brackish. This lagoon connects directly to the Caribbean Sea through the Manatee Bar River. It also has 14 sq. miles of wildlife reserve known as the Gales Point Wild Life Sanctuary.

is for Hopkins

.Hopkins is an eco-cultural Garifuna village on the coast of the Stann Creek District in Belize. Hopkins is considered by some Belizeans to be the cultural center of the Garifuna population in Belize. The town hosts its own national holiday, Hopkins Day, and welcomes people for their celebration on Garifuna Independence Day as well, they do this with drum ceremonies that can last till early hours in the morning.

Jalacte in the region of Toledo is a town located in Belize - some 80 miles South of Belmopan , the country's capital .
JALACTE is a small community of Mayan farmers in the Toledo district of southern Belize west of San Antonio.

Kendal is a hamlet in Stann Creek. Kendal is situated nearby the village Maya Centre and the neighborhood New Site. New Kendall Bridge is a concrete bridge that links Kendall village in the Sittee River, Belize.

is for Lubaantun


Lubaantun is a pre-Columbian ruined city of the Maya civilization in southern Belize, Central America. Lubaantun is in Belize's Toledo District, about 26 miles northwest of Punta Gorda, and approximately 2 miles from the village of San Pedro Columbia, at an elevation of 61 metres (200 ft) feet above mean sea level. One of the most distinguishing features of Lubaantun is the large collection of miniature ceramic objects found on site.

Orange Walk Town is the fourth largest town in Belize, It is the capital of the Orange Walk District. Orange Walk Town is located on the left bank of the New River, 53 miles north of Belize City and 30 miles south of Corozal Town.
Orange walk is often referred to as ''sugah city'' throughout the country. Some would say it is one of the sweetest districts in belize with the unmistakable aroma of sugarcane filling the air.

is for Punta Gorda

Punta Gorda, known locally as P.G., is the capital and largest town of Toledo District in southern Belize. Punta Gorda is the southern most sizable town in the nation. Punta Gorda is a seaport and fishing town on the Caribbean Sea. It was a small fishing village before it was settled by a number of Garifuna emigrants from Honduras in 1823. The Garifuna refer to the town as Peini. The town is about fifteen feet above sea level.
