Princess Abigail

Once upon a time, a girl named Abigail was playing in the forest.

She heard a sad bark coming from behind a bush. When she checked behind the bush, she found a lonely puppy hiding all alone.

Abigail told the dog, "Oh you poor thing. You must be lost." The dog whimpered in agreement. So, she told the puppy to follow her. Abigail would find his owner.

Abigail went into the village to ask the children and villagers if they recognized the sweet puppy. So far, nobody could tell her who the dog belonged to. 

When she asked the elders, they did not recognize whose dog that was. "Don't worry Buddy, I will make sure you find your owner."

When she asked the kids that were coming home from school, all they wanted to do was play with the adorable puppy.

Finally, after searching all day she sat down with the puppy and told him, "How is it that nobody knows who you belong to? I wish you could lead me to your owners instead.".

As if the puppy understood what she was saying, he started barking as if he was telling her to get up. "What is it? Do you want to take me somewhere?" She decided that she'd follow him.

She felt silly following the puppy, but she had also run out of ideas. "Where are we going buddy? We're out of town, is it possible that your owner lives so far away?"

The puppy had led her out of town, and they were marching down a trail, past the forest. She had never walked by here before,

"Am I being silly for following a random puppy into a place that I've never been to before?" She said out loud. The puppy shook his head. She was having second thoughts the further they walked.
