Early Life

Ward Kimball was born on March 4, 1914, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Kimball grew up in the Midwest, often living with his grandparents, as his dad was a salesman who traveled often. To obtain his education, Kimball attended the Santa Barbara School of the Arts in order to become a painter and illustrator.

Family Life 

Ward Kimbell was a family man. He met his wife at Disney's Ink and Paint Department. He went on to marry Betty Lawyer in 1936. They eventually had 3 children named John, Kelly, and Chloe. Additionally, he had several grandchildren and great-grandchildren years down the road.

How He Became a Musician 

Ward Kimball started playing his instrument in the high school band. Then he entered Disneys' animation studio. He eventually ended up forming a band with some of his co-workers from Disney. They were originally just playing for fun until they found out they were pretty good. They band started playing at Disney until they eventually started playing in more and more concerts. 

School History 

Kimball attended Covina High School and Santa Barbra School of the Arts. He attended this school to become a painter and illustrator. Because of the school he went to, his work got submitted to Walt Disney Productions and that is how he became an animator.
