One bright, sunny morning Millie Dillie was on 

her bike heading to school.   Once she arrived, 

Millie unpacked her backpack as she did every 

morning.   She unpacked her water bottle and 

lunchbox and placed them in her cubby.   Millie 

hung her backpack on her hook and began to 

work on her morning must dos.  

Millie Dillie walked up to her teacher's desk. 

Um..."Mrs. Glory" said Millie, "I am leaving to 

go to a different country with my mom 

tomorrow."   "I know!" said Mrs. Glory, "Your 

mom told me you are going to Ancient Egypt 

and will be absent until next Friday."   "I guess 

we will not see you tomorrow." said Mrs. Glory.  

"Class, Millie will be taking a trip to see the 

pyramids, let's all ask Millie to bring back lots 

of pictures and a journal of her travels."   

Millie Dillie and her friends were doing dismissal. 

Millie's mom was trying to park the car in the 

garage" okay said Millie Dillie's mom get your stuff 

ready for tomorrow when we go to Ancient Egypt " 

Will you come help me with packing my clothes" of 

course.   Millie Dillie and her mom were done with 

packing so Millie was going to bed. Beep Beep Beep 

beeped Millie Dillie's alarm" are you ready to go to 

the airport said Millie's mom.. Yes, said Millie Dillie. 

Millie's mom warmed up the car before they left. 

They arrived at the airport, they hopped in the 

plane. 

It was a long flight to Egypt.   Millie and her 

mom slept the entire flight.   It was morning 

when the plane arrived.   Millie opened her eye 

to a whole new world.   They got off the plane, 

and was driven to the house her mom had 

rented for their stay.   "Finally we're here!!" 

shouted Millie Dillie.

OK Millie, you and I can put all of your stuff in 

your room then you and I can put all of my 

stuff in my room. You can put all of the kitchen 

stuff in the kitchen and I will unpack the living 

room and then we will go grocery shopping.  

We will probably want to relax for a few hours 

before we start our adventure here.   Millie's 

mom thought about it and said.. "the airport is 

only 2 miles away so we can walk to the 

airport and rent a car and then we can go to 

the grocery store."   "OK" said Millie Dillie.

"OK sweetie lets get unpacking, this shouldn't 

take too long". said Millie's mom. "I will 

unpack two bags and you unpack one bag and 

then tomorrow we will unpack the rest but we 

have to the grocery store tonight". 

"Well we finished your room we can go to the 

grocery store and get the the rental car now, 

we will finish my room tomorrow and 

everything else" said Millie's mom." I'm a little 

bit bored, can I go to a playground while you 

go to the grocery store" said Millie Dillie "I 

don't see why not because I won't be that 

long" said Millie's mom. "You can even go 

inside the pyramids". "I can" said Millie Dillie. 

"Let's go now" said Millie Dillie.    

"Mom I found a pyramid can I play in it?" said 

Millie Dillie. "Of coarse you can I will only be 

thirty minutes OK" said Millie's mom. "OK" said 

Millie Dillie. "Go a head and go in the 

pyramids" Millie's mom said. "OK are you sure 

that's a pyramid, it looks like a 3D triangle to 

me" Millie's mom laughed. "OK sweetie have a 

fun time."   Millie did just that.

"WHOA this pyramid is so dusty how do 

mummies live here with out burping dust and 

bugs" Millie Dillie coughed. "What is this box". 

On top of the box Millie Dillie found a book that 

was sparkling magic. "What is this". "In 1323 I 

died, I was made into a mummy because when 

I lived, when people die they sometimes turn 

people into mummies.. I am King Tut and I 

lived in Ancient Egypt" Millie Dillie read.

Millie Dillie heard a sound then she slowly 

turned around she closed her eyes then 

opened them "AHHHHH"! Millie Dillie 

screamed.

"A real mummy, I am so sorry I promise I will 

never look threw your diary again" shouted 

Millie Dillie then Millie's mom came back. "Mom  

I am so glad you are here, I saw a mummy his 

name is King Tut". My mom made a big gasp 

you saw a mummy that is awesome said 

Millie's mom   But mom I'm scared! Don't be 

worried it's OK said Millie's mom.  

Wow it such a honer to see you I mean it 

would be better if I saw you as a person but 

still wow said Millie's mom.What! It's more a 

honer for me it has been so long since I have 

seen a real human said King Tut.Hi I am Millie 

actually most people call me Millie Dillie 

because my last name is Dillie.Nice to meet 

you Millie Dillie I am King Tut I am from 

ancient history very nice to meet you.
