What is a fossil fuel?

What are they used for?

A fossil fuel is the 

leftovers of plants and 

animal that were buried 

years ago.

They help us with things 

that we do everyday.

One of the most used 

fossil fuels in the world 

is coal.

Coal is what we burn to 

produce electricity and 

heat.

Another very useful 

fossil fuel is petroleum.

 Petroleum is used to power 

engines of cars or other big 

machines.

The last of the fossil 

fuels is natural gas.
