Glaciers

Glaciers are moving rivers of ice,

    You may think they're mountains but you need to think                     twice!

            If you see a random boulder in the middle of nowhere,

                you know a glacier could have been there.

                  With the Earth warming, they are melting in a flash,

                        We better save the glaciers and do it fast!

Hiking Couplet

The water is cold,

But I am bold.

As I look over the ridge, 

of the overflowing bridge!

Rainbow Sneaky Couplet

I need the rain and I need the sun, 

but I can't be reached by anyone!

I could look like magic to your eyes,

I can come in a double surprise.

I'm light shining through water droplets, but what am I though?

I am a beautiful colorful rainbow!

Waterfall

Down goes the water from a waterfall,

They can be big or they can be small.

They can cause rainbows and plants have water to grow,

they create new paths when they have nowhere to go.

They can be powerful and strong,

or they can be weak and small.

 Weak or strong, big or small,

you should visit a waterfall.

The Colors of Nature

Red is the color of leaves in the fall,

Orange is the color of sunsets to all.

Yellow is the color of our sun, a star,

Green is the color of leaves in the spring, not fall!

Blue is the color of our sky,

Purple is harder but you can find it if you try.

A couple of flowers can be a beautiful pink,

And white is the color of clouds- I think.

Birds

Humming birds are very small,

Egrets and herons can be very tall.

When you think of birds you think of things that fly,

But the ostrich and penguins never hit the sky.

The crows caw and songs birds sing,

Birds all speak different things.

They are special, each and every one,

So go outside, spot some birds, and have lots of fun!
