sports.

There once was a young boy named Austin who never did
his homework. "It's way too boring for me," he said.
Instead of doing homework, he would enjoy playing sports
like football, soccer, and basketball. His teachers told him,
"Austin! Do your homework or you won't learn a thing." It
was true though. He felt dumber than anyone in the world,
but what could he do? He hated homework.

Then, on St. Patrick's Day his cat was playing with a little
doll and he grabbed it away. To his surprise it wasn't a doll
at all, but a tiny man. He had a little green shirt with
brown boots and a hat with a feather in it. He yelled, "Save
me! Don't give me back to that cat. I'll grant you any wish,
I promise."

Austin couldn't believe how lucky he was! Here was the
answer to all of his problems. So he said, "Only if you do
all my homework 'til the end of the semester." "Oh, fine!"
The elf said. Except there was one problem with this deal.
The elf knew nothing about math, reading, or history. He
sometimes needed help.

"Help me! Help me!" he said.
"I don't know this word," the elf said while reading Austin's
homework." So, the struggling boy did some helping.
When it came to math, Austin was out of luck. "What's
addition and subtraction?" The elf said. Here, sit down,
you must guide me."
Elves know nothing of history either. So the little elf said,
"Go to the library, I need books. More and more books.
And you can help me read them too."
