There once was a yellow puppy roaming around an empty parking lot. This puppy lost her parents and siblings and was very lonely. She was also very hungry. 

This puppy longed to have a person to call her own. She dreamed of having a human to play ball with her. She knew she would find her person one day and did not want to give up.

"I am so hungry. I can not stay in this parking lot anymore. I am going to town to find something to eat!"

And off to town she went... The puppy started walking down a long road. She had no idea where she was. She used her strong sense of smell to find where food could be.

The smell of food brought the puppy all the way to the city. She had walked over 20 miles! The puppy was delighted to see a pizza sign. She thought she could surely get some pizza from the pizza place!

The puppy was so happy and walked straight into the pizza place. But then she heard the pizza man yell...

"No dogs allowed!"

The puppy was full of sadness. She left the city and was ready to give up on finding food. She thought to herself...

"I will never find food! I am going back to the empty parking lot. I just want to be alone..."

As the puppy was walking back to the lot, she heard a sound she had never heard before. A car stopped in the middle of the road... Someone was calling her to come in their car!

"Come here puppy!"

At first, the puppy was scared. She did not want the person to yell at her. She walked slowly to the girl standing at her car. The girl came close to the puppy and reached out her hand to pet her. 

"You are so cute! I want to take you home!"

The puppy thought to herself about how nice she sounded. She could go home with the girl and finally get some food! The puppy climbed in the car with the biggest smile on her face.
