Grandma
Sherry

We can learn so much from a child, however many times we don't pay much attention when we should. If we did, the knowledge they have in such an innocent way, is so valuable to everyone, no matter what their age.

THERE IS BEAUTY EVERYWHERE
To see a young boy hug his older sister who's wearing her Cinderella costume and say "you look so pretty", teaches us to love one another.

While judging others, we're always missing out on what's important, the person inside.
ENJOY LIFE
A child seeing the first snow fall crouching down and squeezing their hands into fists exclaiming "I'm sooo excited"; or a little girl making the most of a spaghetti supper.

Little things show how much we can love life more if we just see it through the eyes of a child.

Seeing your child with their index and thumb in circles to their side with their eyes closed telling you they're "meditating".

We can learn to relax, accept what is happening and remain at peace, no matter what.
USE YOUR IMAGINATION
A child who takes the crust off his bread and puts it under his nose, calling it a "breadstache" or puts a french fry under her nose, can make you laugh.

And a child singing "Walk Like A Camel" while making camel sounds and chewing like a camel.
A little girl just coming out of a tonsellectomy seeing a BP cuff on their arm and saying it's an elephant.
Or a young boy looking in a mirror and making their hair stand up, saying "I'm a hedgehog".

Imagination is so important and besides, who would have ever thought of these things but a child.

BEING CORRECTED ISN'T ALWAYS BAD
When Mommy says to a child, "where does your plate go???" Walking to the kitchen he says, "in the sink, and it's a BOWL, Mom!" is something you'll not soon forget.

Being corrected only reminds us none of us is perfect.
LISTEN WITH YOUR HEART
Like when a young child holds a pregnant cat, hearing the cat purring, then tells his Mom "I can hear the babies, Mommy."

Always listen with your heart, you'll forever hear the truth.
BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU SAY
Like when the child's in the living room, Mommy's in the kitchen with her back to the child talking about something the child was caught doing. The child then walks up to her Mom, says "bend down" and looks through her hair. When Mommy asks "why?", the little girl tells her "I think Grandma's right, you do have eyes in the back of your head."
