Climate is the weather of a particular area for a long term pattern. Climate is different from weather, that determines conditions over a short period of time. In this book, we are going to learn about the different types of climate.
An explanation of climate includes details such as the typical temperature of each season, the amount of rainfall, and the amount of sunshine. When the seasons change, the climate adjusts to match that season. Climate is typically averaged over 30 years.

There are many different types of climate. Climate changes based off where you are located. There are five different types of climate we are going to talk about. Specifically, these are differentiated by tropical, dry, mild, continental, and polar.

The first category we are going to discuss are tropical climates. A place that has a tropical climate is known as a rainforest. The temperature stays constant throughout the year in a tropical climate. Tropical climates never have super dry seasons.

The next type of climate is called a dry climate. Rainfall is limited in dry climates. For example, an example of a place that has a dry climate is a desert. In dry climates, precipitation is not high. As a result, it explains the lack of rain.
