This is Callie! She is an 8-year-old girl who lives in a big city!

This city is full of so many fun things to do! Callie and her friends love to go to the park and run around outside!

One day, Callie was playing and running around with her friends outside when she had to stop!

She was coughing and coughing it felt like she was gonna cough up her lung!

Callie began coughing more and more every day! She wakes up and coughs! She eats breakfast and coughs! She walks to school and she coughs! Her mother was really worried and decided to bring her to the doctor!

The doctor had some bad news! Callie had developed childhood asthma from all of the city's air pollution and smog!

The city has a lot of construction and factories that fill the air with dangerous things!
