Culture Day!

Today was Culture day in Miss Jones's class. All the kids could wear clothes that represented their culture. Zosia went first, since it was her first day here from Poland!

Dzisiaj był Dzień Kultury w klasie Pani Jones. Wszystkie dzieci mogły nosić ubrania reprezentujące ich kulturę. Zosia poszła pierwsza, bo to jej pierwszy dzień tutaj z Polski!

All the kids began to laugh and talk about Zosia. Mike said "Why is she wearing a dumb costume".

Wszystkie dzieci zaczęły się śmiać i rozmawiać o Zosie. Mike powiedział: „Dlaczego ona ma na sobie taki głupi kostium”.

Culture Day!

Ms. Jones was very upset with the class. She explained they cannot talk about Zosia that way.  Zosia was upset too. She was so excited to share her culture with her new classmates.

Pani Jones była bardzo zdenerwowana klasą. Wyjaśniła, że nie można tak mówić o Zosi. Zosia jest smutna. Była bardzo podekscytowana możliwością opowiadac o swoją kulturą z nowom klasą.

It was time for lunch and the kids gathered in the lunchroom. Andrea and Mike confronted Zosia and continued to pick at her. "It's not Halloween", and "That dress is ugly", they said.

Nadszedł czas na obiad i dzieci zebrały się w stołówce. Andrea i Mike skonfrontowali się z Zosią i nadal ją skubali. „Nie jest Halloween” i „Ta sukienka jest brzydka”, mówili.

Zosia was unhappy with what happened and she didn't want to say anything but she ended up talking with Miss Jones about what happened. Miss Jones was furious about this.

Zosia była niezadowolona z tego co się stało i nie chciała nic mówić, ale zdecydiwala powiedziec Pani Jones o tym, co się stało. Panna Jones była z tego powodu wściekła.
