She plopped a few potatoes into her basket along with carrots, cauliflower, and red peppers. She noticed, on her way to the ever-lasting rose gardens a mother and her son, sitting on the floor. They were not wearing nice clothing. The mother had no dress with laces, flower patterns, or even gloves. They were bare-handed and looked depressed. She walked over, handing them a croissant that she was saving for lunch and let them have her scarf, which kept her warm through the day.
On the other side of the rose garden, a young kindhearted gentleman was about to head to a wedding. But not just any wedding, but his Aunt Sara's wedding - specifically her fourth wedding. One elderly couple begged the bride for food but she kept refusing, shooing them away from her perfectly planned wedding.
The young gentleman almost immediately offered the elderly couple some berries and fried fish. The wedding was about to start and everyone got seated. Swans filled the seas and there was not a single cloud in the sky. Right before she heads home, she takes a stroll through the gardens of Aphrodite, the goddess of love. She loves viewing the most beautiful gardens of her hometown, studying how rare they are. The wedding took place there but she paid little attention to it. Still, she took a stroll there, anyway. She found the young gentlemen get kicked out of the wedding just for showing some homeless children hospitality.
The young woman ran to the young gentlemen and helped him get on his feet. Then she reached in her basket and pulled some blueberry muffins out and handed them to the homeless children. They were still very warm, fortunately.
And that is how Eleanor Mendoza existed. Bright blue eyes and fair lips from her mother and long thick black hair and adventurous and fair-minded like her father. Everyone in town thought she had the best life and had everything she wanted. Conveniently, she was a talented prodigy. She can do many things like boxing, archery, pottery, crochet, biking, acting, rock climbing, and fishing! Everywhere she went, she brought joy to the people around her. At that time, she thought she had the best life but when she hit age fourteen, everything changed.
Eleanor once made her and everyone happy and expressed her prodigious talents but soon after, she felt like she was being used for the wealth. She noticed she was forced to do archery or acting so her mother and father would be rich. Eleanor did not want to be used so she slowly lost interest of what she once was.
Her parents were furious and sent her away to Canada to her mother's friend, Alisha Cruz. Unfortunately for Eleanor, Alisha was not the best foster parent. Alisha made sure Eleanor did not wear jewelry, clothes with any glitter or shine, or even forced Eleanor to hide her hair. It was sort of inconvenient that this happened to her but this is not the end just yet. This is only the beginning.
Just like Cinderella did, Eleanor had to do chores all day in rags. But here's the twist; she had the nicest room in the house and had wonderful friends to talk to when she was on her break. Some teenagers named Kim, Brooke, Toni, and Jorge, would even skip school to help her with her chores so they can head to the library after. The library was the safest place for Eleanor no matter how busy it is. She read all of the books on the first five bookshelves and her goal was to read the
books on the six hundredth bookshelf.
