Hi, I'm farmer Dan, I'm getting ready to go plant some of my pumpkin seeds in my garden. Come with me and we talk about the amazing life of pumpkins!

Pumpkins start off as these tiny little seeds. We dig a hole in our nice warm soil, then cover our seeds with soil and give them a good drink of water.

While you have been gone, farmer Dan has been taking great care of the pumpkin seeds. He has been watering them, and making sure they get lots of sun!

Welcome back, since you've been gone our little seeds have started to sprout.

When growing plants we have to be patient and give the plant lots of water, and lots of sunshine. In another week or so our little sprout will turn into a viny plant. 

Oh wow, look at how big our sprouts have become! Our seeds have reached the vine stage of their life. 

The long vine has turned into a beautiful yellow flower! Soon the flower turns into a pumpkin with leaves that matched the vine.

Our pumpkin is finally looking like a pumpkin. But it's still not ready to pick yet because our pumpkin is still green. We will keep giving it lots of water and sunshine!

Finally, our little seed has turned into a fully-grown pumpkin! You know the pumpkin is ready to be picked when it is bright orange and hard to the touch.
